An aggressive team sport is kabaddi. A single offensive player, known as a “raider,” must run into the other team’s half of the court, touch out as many of their defenders as they can, and then return to their own half of the court all without being tackled by the defenders and in a single breath.
The game is played between two teams of seven players. The opposing team get a point for halting the raider, and points are awarded for each player the raider tags. If a player is touched or tackled, they are removed from the game; however, they are allowed to reenter the game after each goal their team scores as a result of a tag or tackle.

The game known as “kabaddi” today is a fusion of other variations played throughout the Indian subcontinent. With the first organised competitions taking place in the 1920s,[10] their inclusion in the schedule of the Indian Olympic Games in 1938,[11] the founding of the All-India Kabaddi Federation in 1950,[12] and their use as a demonstration sport at the first Asian Games in 1951 in New Delhi, India is credited with helping to popularise kabaddi as a competitive sport. These changes made it possible for the sport, which was previously only practised in rural areas, to become officially sanctioned for international competition.
